Responsibilities
- Develop a 2D mobile game in Unity, focusing on clean, responsive gameplay and intuitive user interfaces
- Implement touch and swipe controls for skill-based mechanics
- Collaborate closely with the project founder to iterate on gameplay features and UI/UX
- Optimize game performance for Android devices, with future consideration for iOS
- Build and refine minimal menus and in-game navigation
- Ensure code quality, maintainability, and clear documentation
- Deliver an MVP within the specified timeline and iterate based on feedback
- Proven experience with Unity (2D) and C# for mobile game development
- Strong understanding of mobile input systems, especially touch and swipe mechanics
- Ability to design and implement clean, minimal user interfaces
- Experience optimizing games for Android (and ideally iOS)
- Excellent communication skills and responsiveness, especially in a remote or hybrid setting
- Based in Winnipeg or able to collaborate locally
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently to meet deadlines
- Portfolio of previous mobile game projects is highly desirable
