Freelance Game Developer – Mobile MVP

Responsibilities

• Develop a 2D mobile game in Unity, focusing on clean, responsive gameplay and intuitive user interfaces
• Implement touch and swipe controls for skill-based mechanics
• Collaborate closely with the project founder to iterate on gameplay features and UI/UX
• Optimize game performance for Android devices, with future consideration for iOS
• Build and refine minimal menus and in-game navigation
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and clear documentation
• Deliver an MVP within the specified timeline and iterate based on feedback
  
  

Skills And Requirements

• Proven experience with Unity (2D) and C# for mobile game development
• Strong understanding of mobile input systems, especially touch and swipe mechanics
• Ability to design and implement clean, minimal user interfaces
• Experience optimizing games for Android (and ideally iOS)
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness, especially in a remote or hybrid setting
• Based in Winnipeg or able to collaborate locally
• Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently to meet deadlines
