Data and Reporting Analyst

As a Data and Reporting Analyst, you’ll play a key role in Lockton’s data transformation journey. You’ll engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and turn them into powerful insights, designing scalable data models, building robust ETL pipelines, and creating dynamic Power BI dashboards that deliver a single source of truth. By ensuring data quality, supporting self-service analytics, and sharing knowledge, you’ll build a strong data-driven culture while staying ahead of emerging trends in analytics and visualisation.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead stakeholder workshops to gather requirements and delivery analytics solutions that align with business needs.
  • Design and optimise data architecture by enhancing and maintaining the central data model for scalability and consistency across global teams.
  • Drive data-driven decisions by creating powerful reporting and dashboards in Power BI that establish a single source of truth and enable self-service analytics.
  • Define, implement, and test Row-Level Security (RLS) in Power BI, ensuring secure, role-appropriate access to reports.
  • Build and maintain ETL structures and semantic layers in Power BI to support comprehensive analytics and integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Ensure data quality and governance, delivering accurate, reliable, and secure analytics outputs.
  • Monitor and analyse performance by tracking key initiatives, analysing trends, and identifying growth opportunities across the business.
  • Provide training and technical support for Power BI, SQL, and data integration issues when required, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Empower teams through training and guidance, enabling effective use of reporting tools and self-service analytics.
  • Maintain thorough documentation for data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutions.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by continuously learning and applying best practices in data visualisation, analytics, and SQL development.


You will need the following experience and qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in data analysis and business intelligence, with proven ability to engage stakeholders and deliver insights.
  • Solid understanding of the insurance industry – this is essential to hit the ground running.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, Semantic Model, RLS, Data Flows, and Deployment Pipelines).
  • Strong technical foundation in SQL, Python, and data governance.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud environments, especially Azure, plus experience with ETL tools and processes (bonus points if you’ve worked with Azure Databricks).
  • Certifications that set you apart:
  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (required).
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills – you can translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • A growth mindset, high attention to detail, and a passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of industry trends.
