We're growing fast and always pushing ourselves to do better - we play for #1.
To stay on top, we need to understand our customers better than anyone else. That's where you come in. We are looking for a driven Customer Insights Analyst (m/f/d) turning data into the strategic decisions that will fuel our growth.
Job Description
In this role, you will not just report on what happened; you will define what happens next. You will be an intellectual partner to our Marketing and Business leadership by building automated decision systems and reporting models that steer millions of euros in investment. You will own the "Why" and the "How" of customer value.
Your Core Responsibilities Will Include
- Build the "Next Best Action" System: Move beyond static segmentation to an automated decisioning system that selects and delivers the optimal next customer interaction (reward, message, or recommendation) for each customer based on business priorities.
- Solve the "Leakage" Problem: You will diagnose value leakage across the customer lifecycle, quantify the economic upside of closing those gaps, and translate insights into strategic levers. Rather than stopping at analysis, you will drive alignment on what must change (and why) to improve retention, reactivation, and long-term customer value.
- Own the Full Data Stack: You won’t be blocked by dependencies. You will have the autonomy to own the entire data journey - from ingesting and curating raw data to producing final analytical outputs - ensuring your insights are built on a foundation you fully understand.
- Steer the Business with "Hard" Metrics: Translate fuzzy concepts like "customer experience" into rigorous economic trade-offs (e.g., modeling the exact cost vs. retention impact of availability and service levels) to guide executive decisions.
- Elevate Experimentation: Design the testing framework for our most critical strategic bets. We don't just want to know if it worked; we want to know why, using uplift modeling to measure true incremental impact.
To succeed in this role the right candidate will be:
- Product Owner for Data: You don't wait for a backlog. You identify the biggest opportunities for growth, pitch them to stakeholders, and own the roadmap from data ingestion to final strategic recommendation.
- Technically Fluent: You are comfortable in the engine room. You write advanced SQL, you have knowledge of Python or R. We use a modern data tech stack (GCP, dbt, airflow, mlflow), so having experience with these tools is a plus.
- Speak "Business": You can drill down complex technical topics to business stakeholders without losing the nuance. You are a storyteller who uses data to drive action.
- Strategic Catalyst: You don't just answer questions; you proactively challenge the status quo. You act as a true analytics partner who actively shapes and influences company strategy.
- A €1000 annual L&D budget as well as individual coaching options to ensure you have plenty of opportunities to learn, grow and achieve your goals
- 26 days of vacation, +1 day every year up to a maximum of 30 days
- A mobility budget of 35 EUR per month for Deutschland Ticket subsidy
- A cool discount off your personal Flink orders; be the first to test out new products!
- A discount on your Urban Sports Club membership
- Attractive company pension options
- Unlimited access to an e-learning and development platform, MyAcademy, including online German courses
- Online discounts with Corporate Benefits and Future Bens
- A modern and dog-friendly office in the heart of Berlin - lots of delicious lunch spots available within short walking distance
