Full-timeRemote FriendlyQuality Assurance

The assignment takes place within a large international public-sector environment responsible for delivering high-quality digital information services to a wide range of stakeholders, including institutions, public administrations, organisations, researchers, businesses, and the general public.

The organisation designs, builds, and operates web-based data dissemination platforms and interactive digital solutions that support data exploration, statistical analysis, and public communication. These platforms form a core part of its digital transformation strategy and require high standards of reliability, usability, and accessibility.

Within this context, the Quality Assurance Manager supports web dissemination and data-exploration platforms by ensuring that interactive publications, dashboards, and data visualisation tools comply with accessibility standards and function reliably. The work focuses on accessibility testing (WCAG compliance), systematic testing of interactive visualisations, and the gradual introduction of automated testing routines to improve quality and robustness.

The scope of the assignment may evolve over time depending on portfolio, project, or service needs.

1.1 Example Areas of InterventionInteractive Charting Tools

Self-service web tools allow non-technical users to create interactive charts by configuring input data, selecting chart types, and customising visual output. New versions introduce additional chart types and advanced interactions.

The Quality Assurance Manager is expected to:

  • Prepare and execute detailed test plans for new features and chart types
  • Test interactions such as filtering, range selection, tooltips, hover behaviour, and legends
  • Verify consistency between visual outputs and underlying datasets
  • Test edge cases (empty selections, invalid values, extreme ranges)
  • Participate in sprint reviews and contribute to technical specifications when needed
Generic Dashboards

Dashboards are used to:

  • Present indicators and statistical data to a broad audience in a clear and understandable way
  • Reduce time-to-delivery for creating or updating dashboards related to policy indicators
Interactive Data Visualisation Tools & Publications

Web-based visualisations and publications include:

  • Interactive publications combining text, data visualisations, static infographics, and multimedia
