Accountabilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small product design team focused on Design System evolution and adoption.
- Work hands-on to design, refine, and document components, patterns, tokens, and UX standards.
- Partner with Engineering and AI/ML counterparts to create AI-ready structures for the design system.
- Drive the strategic direction of the Design System to support AI-assisted UI generation.
- Influence product organization leaders to align design system decisions with broader strategy.
- Establish governance, contribution models, and workflows for system evolution.
- Embed testing, validation, and iteration into the design system lifecycle.
- Leverage GenAI tools for documentation, audits, and component exploration.
- Foster collaboration across geographies and time zones with strong async practices.
- 8+ years in product design, with 2+ years in a lead or management role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Design Systems — components, tokens, documentation.
- Strong interaction and visual design skills with a focus on system quality.
- Experience in designing or maintaining SaaS or enterprise-scale UX patterns.
- Deep experience in user testing and validation to refine patterns effectively.
- Excellent strategic framing skills to influence cross-functional decision-making.
- AI-forward mindset with experience using GenAI tools in workflows.
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional partners to ensure system scalability.
- Excellent communication skills in distributed environments.
- Proficiency in Figma and a strong understanding of design system best practices.
