 Your role

We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our Networking Infrastructure team. Our Network Engineers are responsible for maintaining the integrity of M247’s Global Core, Transit and Access Networks, including peering and transit connectivity. They provide technical assistance to other team members and colleagues, whilst delivering a network change program that underpins the company’s strategic goals. This role will be reporting to the Network Operations Manager and is responsible for first level support for internal or customer generated tickets.

As the ideal candidate, you’ll have proven experience in a similar 1st Line Network Engineer role, with the ability to communicate at both a technical and management level through telephone calls, face-to-face meetings and email. What you’ll do:

· Providing 1st line support for internal teams and customers across all tiers of the network.

· Handle customer phone calls and tickets.

· ISP IP Network management incl BGP, OSPF, ISIS, Transit, and Peering.

· Develop Peering relationships.

· Liaising with 3rd party vendors.

· Task planning and delivery.

· Provide onsite and remote support to our technical teams.

· Work closely with our Operations teams to ensure they have the tools, knowledge and support necessary to operate and manage performance on our network.

Your skills and experience

Should have

· Proven in a similar 1st Line Network Engineer.

· Great punctuality and communication, with a commitment to self-development.

· Passionate about customer satisfaction through excellent service.

· Excellent planning and problem-solving abilities, with clear decision making.

· Enthusiastic about Networking, and you are looking for a career in an ISP, Datacenter or Enterprise on a Networking role.

· The ability to work both independently and as part of a team to answer technical queries.

Key skills

CCNA strong knowledge or relevant experience.

Attention to detail and drive to succeed with flexibility in approach and style.

Collaborative approach to internal teamwork.

Proactive approach to solutions: common sense approach.

High standard of written and verbal communication skills in both Romanian and English.

Desired: Cisco/Juniper skills.
