We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Principal Engineer to join our team to support the effective coordination and delivery of engineering and construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing stakeholders, supervising design and site activities, and ensuring compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Engage and manage stakeholders, including clients, the design team, site team, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth project communication and alignment.
- Coordinate design works between the project site and the design office, ensuring timely updates, accuracy, and seamless handover of information.
- Conduct quality supervision on-site as assigned by the QP(S), ensuring works meet required standards and project specifications.
- Manage main contracts and sub-contracts where necessary, including monitoring performance, deliverables, and contract obligations.
- Supervise and coordinate design and/or site work to ensure proper execution, adherence to schedules, and quality of workmanship.
- Ensure that all engineering works comply with statutory regulations, project specifications, and relevant Codes of Practice.
- Oversee project timelines, costs, claims, variation orders, and quality standards to support successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related field).
- Preferably with prior experience in project coordination, construction, or design.
- Strong understanding of engineering standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
