ABOUT THIS ROLE

Are you passionate about data quality that actually matters?

This project sits at the heart of risk management for a major European bank as part of their Internal Ratings-Based 3.0 (IRB 3.0) transformation.

We’re hiring a Data Steward (Risk Data Quality)—a key consulting role ensuring that credit risk data used in Loss and Recovery, Default Registry, and Probability of Default (PD) areas is accurate, traceable, and fit for purpose.

You’ll join a cross-functional Agile delivery team, partnering directly with risk analysts, model experts, and data engineers to make sure every data point stands up to regulatory scrutiny.

Location: Baltics (Riga / Vilnius / Tallinn)

Work mode: Mostly remote, with occasional onsite sessions for planning and workshops.

DO YOU HAVE…

🌟 4–6 years of experience as a Data Steward / Data Quality Specialist in complex enterprise or consulting environments.

🌟 Strong SQL fluency—you can write and troubleshoot queries to validate and investigate data issues independently.

🌟 Hands-on experience with relational databases—you understand data structures, joins, relationships, and how to navigate them efficiently.

🌟 Proven track record of driving Data Quality improvements—identifying issues, explaining business impact, and coordinating structured remediation.

🌟 Experience working within Agile teams (sprints, planning, reviews, collaboration with cross-functional groups).

🌟 Confidence working in a risk-focused banking environment, ideally with exposure to credit risk data (Loss and Recovery, Default Registry, PD).

BONUS SKILLS…

💎 Familiarity with Internal Ratings-Based (IRB) or credit risk modelling topics.

💎 Experience contributing to regulatory or model data overhaul initiatives.

💎 Comfort leading discussions on root cause analysis, data ownership, and remediation approaches.
