Join our highly skilled Site Reliability Engineering team

Our team designs, develops, and manages applications and infrastructure that support Akamai's Compute products and services. We specialize in creating solutions that help manage Compute platform. We are focusing on identity and access management (IAM) solutions.

Partner with the best

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will ensure smooth operation and up-time of our Compute services and infrastructure. You will be supervising and maintaining our critical infrastructure. Together with development teams, you will be creating software that monitors and improves the reliability of our systems.

As a Site Reliability Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for-

Providing support and mentorship for other SRE engineers within the team
Defining requirements as part of the product lifecycle to influence the new designs and standards
Partnering with multiple teams to ensure the availability, reliability, scalability and usability of our products and services
Solving complex problems in a timely and accurate manner through proactive troubleshooting, automation and systems programming
Collaborating with our engineering, operations and support teams to investigate and troubleshoot complex problems
Developing and improving automation to support daily activities and reduce toil
Working with Engineering and QE teams to deliver robust solutions, code improvements and stability enhancements.

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will-

Have good analytical and troubleshooting skills, ability to extrapolate from incomplete information
Be experienced in one of the programming languages such as Python and/or Go, and familiar with scripting programming languages
Hold fluency using automation and configuration management tools such as SaltStack, Terraform and Ansible, as well as CI/CD solutions such as Jenkins, CloudBees or similar
Have hands-on mastery in Linux administration and container-based platforms like Docker
Have hands on experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki or similar
Possess an understanding of best practices related to systems reliability, observability and monitoring incl. adherence to SLOs.
Have experience with architecting software and infrastructure at scale
