Qualifications:

• Lead manual and automated testing efforts while personally executing 70% of testing work alongside the team,
• Design and maintain the overall test automation framework and strategy using Artillery and Node.js for backend regression testing,
• Mentor team members on testing best practices, automation techniques, and code review for test scripts,
• Coordinate sprint planning, assign testing tasks, and track progress to ensure timely delivery of quality releases,
• Conduct regular one-on-ones with team members, provide feedback, and support their professional development,
• Establish and improve QA processes, testing standards, and documentation to increase team efficiency,
• Report testing metrics, release readiness, and quality concerns to management and stakeholders,
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios early in the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• 4+ years of QA experience with at least 1 year in a team lead or senior role,
• Strong expertise in both manual testing and test automation using Artillery, Node.js, and JavaScript,
• Proven ability to architect and scale test automation frameworks for backend API testing,
• Experience with Visual Studio Code and modern development workflows (Cursor IDE experience is a plus),
• Demonstrated leadership skills including mentoring, task delegation, and conflict resolution,
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with developers, product managers, and report to leadership,
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to balance hands-on testing work with team management duties,
• Basic Git knowledge.
