Job Summary
The Country CEO will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of CityPay’s Turkish entity. This includes driving commercial growth, ensuring operational excellence, maintaining full regulatory compliance, and fostering collaboration with the global functions.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, proven experience in financial or technology-driven industries, and an in-depth understanding of Turkey’s fintech and regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute Turkey’s strategic and operational roadmap aligned with the company’s global objectives.
- Identify and drive business development opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with the Vice President and global leadership team on planning and execution.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee all operational, commercial, and financial activities in Turkey.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, financial regulations, and internal policies.
- Set and monitor KPIs, ensuring consistent delivery on growth and performance goals.
People and Culture
- Lead and inspire the local leadership team to achieve excellence and accountability.
- Build a strong culture of collaboration, innovation, and integrity aligned with CityPay’s values.
Financial and Risk Management
- Oversee budgeting, financial performance, and reporting in coordination with the global finance team.
- Ensure strong internal controls, risk management, and compliance practices.
- Maintain transparency and effective communication with the VP and central functions.
External Relations and Representation
- Serve as the key representative of CityPay in Turkey with regulators, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Strengthen the company’s local market position and reputation.
- Promote the brand and strategic initiatives in relevant forums and associations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, IT, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record in fintech, payments, or financial services industries.
- Strong knowledge of the Turkish financial and regulatory landscape.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills in both English and Turkish.
- High integrity, strategic thinking, and execution capability.
