The Senior DevOps Specialist will lead the implementation and management of large-scale enterprise platforms, products, and services. You will work with Agile teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing digital services, while maintaining DevOps processes, tools, and documentation.
Technology Stack: React, React Native, TypeScript, .NET/.NET Core, C#, Azure App Services, Azure cloud, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, GitHub.

The Senior DevOps Specialist will lead the implementation and management of large-scale enterprise platforms, products, and services. You will work with Agile teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing digital services, while maintaining DevOps processes, tools, and documentation.

Responsibilities
- Lead CI/CD pipeline design and automation, including environment provisioning, deployment, and maintenance with minimal downtime.
- Manage production operations: configuration, credentials, maintenance, database upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Develop scripts, tools, and processes to improve monitoring, observability, and operational efficiency.
- Support delivery teams with early integration, system testing, performance/load testing, security scanning, and Alpha/Beta releases.
- Continuously improve DevOps processes, quality, and documentation, applying best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and leadership to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies to enhance team efficiency and performance.
- Ensure all solutions meet security, regulatory, and compliance standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Experience:
- Azure RedHat OpenShift – 5 years
- BuildMaster – 5 years
- Cloud-based and mobile application development – 2 years
- Disaster Recovery architectures, processes, and testing – 5 years
- Performance monitoring and troubleshooting – 5 years
- Replicating environments (Dev/Test/Prod) – 5 years
- Scaling services via horizontal or vertical techniques – 5 years
- VM sizing based on needs and performance testing – 5 years
- Experience working on Agile enterprise development teams – 2 years
- Experience incrementally transforming large-scale enterprise legacy systems – 3 years
- Experience in Government of Alberta or similar public-sector environment – 2 years
- Experience leveraging AI tools for DevOps development – 2 years
- Experience working in large global or national organizations – 2 years
