AI Developer / Agentic AI Developer – Python, LLMs, GCP

A scale-up technology-led product business services organisation is expanding it's engineering capability with over £9 Million investment, and looking for an AI Developer / Agentic AI Developer to help design, build, and scale existing and new intelligent products for it's customers.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a modern, cloud-native environment, developing AI-powered applications that go from concept to production. You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and platform teams, taking ownership of AI-driven features end-to-end, from solution design and model integration through to deployment and optimisation.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how AI and agentic systems are embedded into products, influencing architectural decisions, and contributing to best practices, while working hands-on with LLMs, APIs, and cloud infrastructure to deliver scalable, real-world solutions.

Location: Leeds – 2 Days Per Week

Salary: £75,000 to £90,000 + 15% Bonus + Benefits

To be considered:

• 3+ years’ experience as an AI Engineer, ML Engineer, or Software Engineer with strong AI exposure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and modern AI/ML frameworks.
• Practical experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, and/or agentic AI workflows.
• Experience building and integrating AI services via APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and deploying production-grade AI systems.
• Understanding of data pipelines, model evaluation, and AI system performance considerations.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, and collaborative engineering practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work closely with product-focused teams.
