We are looking for a development-oriented data engineer to join our team who can write SQL procedures, build pipelines and integrations in Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse while turning business needs into robust data products. As member of our team, you will collaborate with different business stakeholders and functions to fulfill their complex data, analytics, and reporting requirements and help build and maintain our global reporting - and data products. This position is a parental leave replacement until March 2027, with preferred start date in February - March 2026.
Depending on your background and expertise, your responsibilities could include:
- Designing and developing ELT/ETL pipelines in MS Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse/OneLake) and Azure Synapse (Data Vault/SQL).
- Creating and maintaining stored SQL procedures, views, functions in Synapse and/or MS Fabric
- Integrating source systems and implement reliable connectors and ingestion patterns from ERP and other business systems; manage schema changes and lineage.
- Participating in requirement gathering, data discovery, data modelling, data warehouse and report development together with your team
- Translating business process related requirements into data requirements.
- Hands-on support, maintenance and continuous development of the current reporting and analytics content.
- Developing semantic models, dashboards and reports in Power Bi
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Solid SQL skills (procedures, optimization, troubleshooting).
- Handson experience building data pipelines in MS Fabric and/or Azure Synapse or similar platform
- English fluency and strong communication skills.
- Python/PySpark
- Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Direct Lake, semantic models).
- Exposure to ERP data (e.g. orders, deliveries, production, finance).
- Finnish language skills/Ability to work and communicate in Finnish.
- Basics of DevOps/CICD, Git
