Senior Software Engineer
This is a hybrid role onsite 3 days per week in our Dublin office in Parkwest
The Opportunity

We’d love you to join our eCommerce Development team, where you’ll work alongside talented engineers, organised in Squads and based across multiple locations, to craft a seamless, engaging, and personalised shopping experience for our store’s end users.
With an agile, sprint-to-sprint mindset and an ambitious roadmap, you’ll contribute to key initiatives such as advancing our AWS Personalization Strategy, optimising store search with OpenSearch, tackling UI challenges, modernising store technologies, and achieving release independence. This is your chance to shape how thousands of users interact with our platform, making every click intuitive, every journey effortless, and every experience memorable.
As a Senior Front- end Engineer, you’ll work closely with our Principal Engineer and Squad members to scope and deliver impactful features. While most of your work will focus on Back-End development (Java), you’ll also have the chance to contribute to Front-End projects (React).
Our Squads typically consist of 1x Principal Engineer, 3-4x Back-End, 1–2x Front-End, 1–2x QA, and 1x Automation QA and team members are spread across multiple locations. The Engineering Manager, who you’ll report into is based in Ireland.
Our eCommerce Squads are close-knit, collaborative, and passionate about enhancing the store (supporting ~7million users) and we’d love for you to join us.

JavaScript React, Java 17, Spring (Spring Boot, Spring Web Stack, Spring Data or Spring JDBC), RESTful webservices, Apache Camel, AWS, Terraform, API, Oracle, Postgres, NoSQL DB, PL/SQL, JMeter, Jenkins, Sonar, Maven, Git, React, Docker/Containerization, Open Search, Kafka, Lambda.

- Ideally, 6+ years of front-end development experience.
- You have experience with JS, React framework.
- Working in an agile micro service orientated development environment
- You are familiar with RESTful as an API design and common Batch Processing Patterns is an advantage
- You have experience/and are familiar with test driven development
- Experience working with AWS-based DevOps or CI/CD pipelines is advantageous — particularly if you’ve used tools such as OpenSearch (or Elasticsearch), Amazon MSK/Kafka, or AWS Lambda as part of infrastructure, monitoring, or event-driven architectures.
- You’ll have end-to-end ownership of features.

- You have the ability to mentor team members, sharing your knowledge and also work independently.
- Has represented the team in design discussions by presenting and defending proposed solutions to senior technical stakeholders such as Principal Engineers or Architects.
- You have collaborated openly with the team on shared items of work and communicated well in a team-oriented environment across locations.
