Job Title: Fullstack Engineer (Java + React)

Location: Remote (Candidates must reside in Turkey)

Contract: 6 months (highly likely to extend)

Cressoft is hiring Fullstack Engineers to support a long-term platform transformation for one of the UK’s leading retail and e-commerce companies. As part of this initiative, you’ll help modernize the core transactional flows—Checkout, Payments, Basket, and Post-Order—across a platform that serves over 70% of the UK population.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Build and enhance customer-facing and backend features using Java 8+, React, and TypeScript
• Contribute to the re-architecture of high-traffic retail systems for scalability and performance
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across the UK and nearshore teams
• Implement best practices in testing (React Testing Library, Cypress), code quality, and CI/CD pipelines
• Work in an Agile environment delivering incremental value through reusable, testable components
• Engage in code reviews, feature planning, and performance optimization

✅ Requirements:

• At least 4 years overall development experience
• A balanced full-stack profile (50% frontend / 50% backend)
• Java 17+ & Spring Boot
• Strong frontend proficiency with React and/or Next.js (server components experience is a plus)
• TypeScript & JavaScript
• Experience with Tailwind CSS
• Microservices architecture and event-driven systems (Kafka or similar)
• PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Frontend testing: React Testing Library, Enzyme, Cypress
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively in Agile/Scrum teams

🛠 Nice to Have

• Familiarity with TDD, Kubernetes (AWS), and cloud-native environments
• Exposure to BDD (Cucumber) or functional programming concepts
• Knowledge with Terraform
