You will be responsible for building the minimum viable product (MVP) using Unity 2D with WebGL export, ensuring the game is optimized for mobile devices and includes secure, server-authoritative architecture from the outset. The project is indie-friendly, with a collaborative founder based in Winnipeg, and offers the potential for ongoing work if the initial phase is successful.

Responsibilities
- Develop a mobile-optimized arcade game using Unity 2D and C# scripting
- Implement WebGL export for browser-based gameplay
- Integrate touch input controls for seamless mobile experience
- Ensure server-authoritative logic and anti-cheat measures from day one
- Collaborate with the founder to iterate on gameplay and features
- Integrate leaderboard functionality for competitive play
- Work with provided technical specifications, prototype, design assets, and backend
- Deliver the MVP within a 4–8 week timeline
- Maintain clear communication and provide practical solutions throughout development
- Proven experience with Unity 2D game development and C# scripting
- Strong background in secure mobile game development and server-authoritative architecture
- Experience exporting Unity projects to WebGL for browser play
- Proficient in implementing touch input and optimizing for mobile devices
- Familiarity with anti-cheat systems and secure coding practices
- Ability to integrate leaderboard and competitive features
- Based in Winnipeg or within 50km (local candidates only)
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines
