Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to support project delivery and product development initiatives for enterprise systems. The candidate will work on intranet platforms, web applications, operations portals, and in-house development projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, whilst working within an agile framework to deliver value to users and stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activities for enterprise systems projects, eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements through workshops, interviews, and collaborative sessions with internal stakeholders and tenant users.
• Collaborate with vendors and development teams to create detailed functional and technical specifications, user stories, process flows, data models, and system documentation that clearly articulate business needs and acceptance criteria for in-house developed systems.
• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, whilst maintaining and refining the product backlog to ensure user stories are well-defined and ready for development.
• Direct and manage vendors and external resources on project deliverables, ensuring work quality meets project standards and timelines are adhered to. Review technical documents including system architecture, database design, API specifications, and deployment plans.
• Prepare test cases and scenarios for System Integration Testing (SIT), support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and coordinate with users and vendors during testing phases for techno-functional queries. Support system enhancements and change request implementation.
• Engage with stakeholders across various levels to understand their needs regarding enterprise systems, manage expectations, and communicate project progress. Translate complex technical concepts into business language and vice versa.
• Support IT governance requirements and ensure that systems comply with cyber security best practices and organisational ICT and security governance requirements. Take ownership of assigned project components and demonstrate leadership in driving deliverables to completion.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field from a recognised university.
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in business systems analysis for enterprise systems such as intranet platforms, web applications, or operational portals, with demonstrated expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and management in agile environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in creating analysis artefacts such as user stories, use cases, process flows, data models, and functional specifications. Good knowledge of database systems (Oracle, SQL, or similar) and understanding of web application architecture, APIs, and system integration.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to lead and manage vendors and external resources, and strong ownership and accountability for project deliverables.
• Proficiency with analysis and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, or similar platforms. Experience in product management or product ownership for enterprise systems, and familiarity with UX/UI principles, operations portals will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of cloud-hosting, web-based application implementation will be an advantage. Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Analysis Certification (AAC), or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) will be beneficial.
• Experience working in government or public sector environments and familiarity with government procurement processes will be useful.
