About the Opportunity:
- Contract to hire
- Hybrid or Remote: Hybrid, 4x a week onsite in New York, NY
- Shift: Standard business hours
- Schedule: Full-time
- Hours: 40 hours a week
- Setting: Tech company handling live events for streaming services
Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer, GoLang will be responsible for:
- Designing, building, and maintaining software services using GoLang
- Supporting systems responsible for live streaming and real-time operations
- Developing asynchronous, event-driven architectures
- Working across backend and frontend components
- Collaborating with Product Owners and cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Software Engineer
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- GoLang experience (required)
- Experience with AWS
- Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS
- Proficiency in MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Strong communication skills
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
- Certification in cloud technologies (optional)
- Experience in media or streaming platforms
- Strong team collaboration skills.
