We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of government administration, including the functions of executive leadership within a large and diverse public sector organisation.
- Proven high level and strategic program management skills including managing, evaluating, monitoring and reporting on programs/projects within a complex and demanding emergency services environment.
- Demonstrated high level communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills with a superior ability to build and maintain productive relationships with key partners and stakeholders, including the executive leadership groups within the QAS, Queensland Health and other government departments.
- Proven ability to manage pressure, ambiguity and change; modify approaches; and adapt to new situations with a high level of flexibility, within a complex political, social and multi-organisation environment.
- Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills including a demonstrated ability to interpret financial and trend/output/outcome performance data to drive performance improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse and multi-disciplinary professional team, in an environment of competing priorities and needs with limited resources.
- Whilst not mandatory, tertiary or postgraduate qualification/s in a business-related discipline will be highly regarded.
