Running projects through the full lifecycle from front end through to delivery, on projects ranging from smaller jobs up to $100m+
Our client is a leading project management consultancy with a strong multi-state presence and an established pipeline of Education, Hospitality, Commercial sector work amongst others. Projects range from smaller works up to $10m with larger projects extending up to $100m+.
They are now looking for an experienced Project Manager or emerging Senior Project Manager to join their successful Sydney team working with a strong Project Director.
The ideal candidate can come from either a head contractor or client-side consultancy background, though some client-side experience is highly preferred. You’ll have the opportunity to work on diverse projects and enjoy clear pathways for career progression. Having some knowlege of approvals processes and pathways is also sought after.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Scope development
• Managing regulatory approvals
• Design co-ordination
• Stakeholder management and liaison
• Working in a “live” environment (some of the buildings may remain open during construction)
• Health and safety
• Program management
• Contract administration
• Construction management of project delivery
• Management of site variations and design changes
• Cost management
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Tertiary qualification in civil engineering, construction management or similar
• 4 to 8+ years’ experience in a client-side PM role or with a head contractor (ideally with some client-side experience)
• Proven end to end project management skills from concept through to completion
• Contract Administration experience
• Exposure to program management, managing timelines and critical paths
• Experience managing multiple smaller projects
• Commercial fit-out experience would be advantageous
