We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer who can combine strong technical capability with practical, hands-on experience supporting and improving enterprise-grade network environments. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced Cisco technologies in a hybrid work model while supporting critical network services across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver BAU network support including fault diagnosis, break/fix resolution, and incident response
- Participate in an on-call rotational support model for P1/P2 incidents, including occasional after-hours engagements
- Implement both high-level and low-level network designs and maintain accurate as-built documentation
- Support Cisco WAN/LAN environments including CAT 9300s, legacy Catalyst models, WAN edge, and OOB switching
- Manage and support data centre networking including Cisco ACI, Nexus spine/leaf, IPN, and SDN
- Administer wireless environments including WLAN controllers, access points, WIPS and CMX
- Configure and support Cisco security technologies including Cisco Firewalls and Cisco ISE
- Utilise network management and observability tools such as Cisco DNAC / Cisco Catalyst Centre, Nexus Dashboard, and Firepower Management Centre
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Cisco CCNP (or equivalent professional-level Cisco certification)
- Degree in IT or related field (or in progress)
- Current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to work 3 days onsite at Geelong with 2 days working remotely
- Demonstrated experience in:
- BAU operational network support
- break/fix troubleshooting
- design implementation
- network documentation standards
Desirable
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Information Security certifications (e.g., RESILIA, CISM, CISSP)
- Experience with:
- Cisco ACI & SDN
- Cisco IPN / APIC
- Nexus Dashboard
- CAT 9300 and legacy Catalyst stacks
- Cisco ISE
- Firepower
- WIPS/CMX
