We’re looking for AI Engineers and Senior AI Engineers to join our Applied AI team. The role is shaped based on your experience, strengths, and interests.

In this role, you’ll design and build AI solutions ranging from AI agents and large language models (LLMs) to more traditional machine learning systems. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, applying your software engineering and cloud skills to help deliver scalable and business-relevant AI applications. Depending on your experience, you may take ownership of solution design and technical direction, or focus on developing your expertise alongside more senior engineers. You’ll also be part of Norrin’s AI Guild, a community where you can deepen your technical expertise and share knowledge with peers who are as passionate about AI as you are.

🧩 Your work may include

  • Designing and implementing end-to-end AI/ML solutions (agents, RAGs, ML systems)
  • Building and scaling cloud-native applications (Azure preferred)
  • Applying modern software engineering practices (Python, Git, CI/CD)
  • Deploying, monitoring, and maintaining ML systems in production (MLOps)
  • Designing solutions that balance technical feasibility and business value
  • Integrating AI solutions with APIs, databases, and data platforms

✨ What We Value

  • 3–5+ years of experience in software or data applications with an AI/ML focus
  • Interest or hands-on experience with AI agents and large language models (LLMs)
  • Experience in cloud development, preferably in Azure
  • Strong or growing skills in Python and modern software engineering practices (e.g. Git, CI/CD)
  • Experience with, or motivation to learn, MLOps and bringing ML systems into production
  • Solid understanding of APIs, integrations, databases, and SQL
  • A structured approach to problem-solving that balances technical feasibility with business needs
  • Fluent English skills, written and spoken
  • Educational background in e.g. computer science, applied mathematics, engineering, or a comparable field

🍀 What’s a Plus (but Not Required)

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and containerisation for reproducible, scalable environments (e.g. Terraform, Docker)
  • Familiarity with PyTorch, LangChain/LlamaIndex, deep learning, and LLM evaluation frameworks
  • Experience working with data platforms and architectures, such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, event streams, or data warehouses
  • Background in structured testing methodologies to ensure solution reliability
  • Experience working in consulting environments, with the ability to collaborate with teams and support stakeholders
  • Prior leadership experience or interest in guiding others (particularly relevant at senior level)
  • Industry experience in sectors such as manufacturing, heavy machinery, or power generation
  • Finnish language skills are considered a strong advantage
