Job Description
Help us digitalize international freight transportation!
OVRSEA is a next-generation multimodal freight forwarder dedicated to simplifying and optimizing international freight management through technology. We coordinate the transport of over 700 companies across 60 countries, providing our clients with a unique platform where their teams can manage shipments simply and transparently. With 160 employees globally, we're continuing our growth in 2024 and hiring internationally! Are you ready to join us and be part of this exciting adventure?
The Tech Team
The tech team is the driving force behind OVRSEA's vision: creating tools that will transform international freight transport! As pioneers in a largely undigitalized market, we offer our customers state-of-the-art solutions for managing transport and empower our operations teams to achieve unmatched efficiency in the industry.
What's it like being a GenAI Engineer at OVRSEA? 🤖
GenAI is becoming a core component of digital freight forwarding. We handle thousands of documents and emails daily. While the data is highly unstructured, Large Language Models (LLMs) excel at understanding it and helping our team automate repetitive tasks.
As a GenAI Engineer, your goal is to lay the foundations of our GenAI Platform for the coming years. This role combines engineering, product management, and GenAI conception. You'll collaborate with the tech team to apply software engineering best practices to AI development (CI/CD, observability, etc.), construct tools to enhance AI algorithm performance and usage (human-in-the-loop, etc.), and engage in prompt engineering and agent development.
We have the unique privilege of building a product in a complex, largely undigitalized market. As pioneers in this field, the challenge is incredibly exciting!
Some of our current topics
AI Process Excellence
We already have operationalized AI at scale, running 100k+ monthly operations via 45+ dedicated agentic skills. We tackle the "non-deterministic outcome problem” head-on, combining human-in-the-loop (HITL) validation and continuous online evaluation.
Copilot
We are transitioning from controlled automation to autonomous agency for repetitive and time-consuming tasks (Copilot). Our pipeline evolves with every task, moving beyond simple OCR and LLM integration toward self-orchestrating agents.
Your impact
Expected Achievements At The End Of The Ramp-up Phase
- Implement the first GenAI tools with comprehensive observability and CI/CD pipelines
- Develop and deploy at least one AI agent to support our operations team in document processing
- Reduce manual document processing time by 40% through AI-powered automation
- Launch a human-in-the-loop system to continuously improve AI model performance
- Implement an AI-driven anomaly detection system to enhance supply chain visibility
- Establish OVRSEA as a thought leader in GenAI applications for freight forwarding through 2-3 industry publications or conference presentations
