Quality Assurance (QA) Test Engineer

TechHeads has partnered with an established software organisation that develops high-quality, enterprise-grade solutions for clients operating in complex, regulated markets. TechHeads is currently seeking a detail-oriented QA Test Engineer to join a growing software team. You’ll work closely with development and product teams to ensure high-quality software releases. This role is ideal for someone experienced in testing practices, passionate about quality, and able to thrive in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases across products.
• Design, document, and maintain test plans and test cases.
• Track, report, and manage defects found during testing.
• Communicate proactively with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support effective user acceptance testing.
• Provide timely status updates to management.

Requirements

• Degree in Computing, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of software testing experience on complex projects.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with test tools (manual and automation) and defect tracking.
• Good SQL knowledge for verifying data.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Desirable:

• ISTQB certification – Foundation level or above
• Knowledge of scripting – JavaScript, TypeScript
• Experience with API testing tool(s) - Postman or equivalent
• Automation Tools experience – Playwright, Test Complete
• Penetration testing experience – ZAP or equivalent
• Performance testing experience – Jmeter or equivalent
• Insurance knowledge
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps
