Kepak Group is looking for a friendly and hardworking General Operative to join our team in the food production industry. As one of Europe's leading food producers with 12 manufacturing plants across Ireland and the UK, Kepak prides itself on its meat craft, trusted quality, and excellent service. As a General Operative at Kepak, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of daily operations to keep up with customer demand for our top-quality products. You will be a vital part of our team on the factory floor, working alongside other skilled operatives to achieve our goals.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets
- Operate and maintain production equipment to ensure efficiency and safety
- Complete quality control checks to ensure high standards of product quality
- Adhere to hygiene and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management immediately
- Attend training sessions to develop skills and knowledge
- Follow instructions from supervisors and management to ensure efficient workflow
- Previous experience in a similar role in the food production industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical fitness and ability to engage in repetitive tasks for long periods of time
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and report issues
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
