Senior Technology Research Manager - Blockchain / Web3

We are searching for a Senior Technology Research Manager specifically for Blockchain / Web3 technologies to join our client in the Brussels area of Belgium on a permanent basis. This is a permanent role and will be joining the R&D hub of a globally recognised tech company.

In this role you will:

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of researchers and developers in management role – including research management and software development management.
• Identify strategic business, investment, and development opportunities in the technology domains relevant to our diverse business portfolio (including – but not limited to - Web3, Artificial Intelligence, and Security).
• Collaborate with business unit representatives to develop market ready solutions
• Network with startups, corporations, venture capital communities, universities, and standardization organizations.
• Compile trend and technology reports in selected fields, and report trends to upper management
• Analyse and create intellectual property

Your profile:

• Proven experience in performing technology scouting, trend research and/or driving innovation. Preferably in the field of either security, blockchain or AI technologies.
• Proven experience in managing SW or research projects, teams, and stakeholder relationships in a corporate environment.
• Excellent networking skills, both internal and external.
• Advanced creative, deductive and entrepreneurial thinking.
• Strong eagerness to translate insights into opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Advanced ability to structure, illustrate and or communicate complex concepts in an understandable, practicable manner
