Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a senior professional for the position of Program Manager – Medical Devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development, enhancement, and optimization of orthopedic medical devices.
- Create and manage project plans across multiple design and process-focused projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality, packaging, labeling) across global locations.
- Identify technical gaps in design/process documentation and plan remediation.
- Track project progress, report risks and updates to leadership.
- Coordinate with sites and suppliers for test samples, equipment, and procurement.
- Provide regulatory support during audits by gathering essential information.
- Manage document approvals and closure in PLM system.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable inputs for remote/offshore teams.
- Ensure adherence to timelines and achievement of project milestones.
- Maintain and present team metrics to client and management.
- Report and resolve issues with client and management.
Key Qualities:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years in medical device product development with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and DHF elements.
- Experienced across full product lifecycle, including new product introduction.
- Skilled in risk management documentation (Design FMEA, Process FMEA, Risk Reports).
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality, packaging, labeling).
- Technical project management experience with global teams.
- Familiar with product variants, BOM setup, and routers (preferred).
- Knowledge of EU MDR and FDA requirements (preferred).
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently.
- Flexible to meet project and organizational deadlines.
