Position Title - Data Quality Assurance

Employment Type - Full Time Role

Work Location - Dubai, UAE.

We are looking for a Data Quality Assurance with strong hands-on experience in ETL testing, data quality validation, SQL-based reconciliation, and BI reporting validation.

The ideal candidate will work closely with Data Engineers, BI teams, and business stakeholders to ensure high data accuracy, integrity, and reliability across enterprise data platforms.

This role is highly data-centric and suited for professionals who think beyond UI testing and are comfortable validating large datasets, transformations, and reporting logic.

Key Responsibilities

Data & ETL Testing

• Perform end-to-end ETL testing across Source → Staging → Curated → Reporting layers
• Validate data transformations, joins, aggregations, CDC/SCD logic
• Conduct data reconciliation between source and target systems using SQL
• Identify data quality issues such as duplicates, nulls, mismatches, data loss

Data Quality & Validation

• Design and execute data quality rules and validation checks
• Perform row-level, column-level, and aggregate-level validation
• Validate incremental loads, historical loads, and reprocessing scenarios
• Support UAT and production validation for releases

BI / Reporting Validation

• Validate dashboards and reports in Power BI / Tableau / Cognos
• Ensure KPI accuracy, filters, drill-downs, and export functionality
• Cross-check BI metrics with backend tables and business rules

Automation & Tools

• Develop or support SQL / Python-based automation for data validation
• Assist in regression automation for data pipelines (PyTest / Python preferred)
• Track defects and testing progress using JIRA / ALM / Azure DevOps

Collaboration & Documentation

• Analyze BRDs, SRS, source-to-target mappings
• Create test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and execution reports
• Work closely with onshore/offshore teams in Agile environments

Required Skills & Experience

✅ Must-Have

• 5+ years of experience in Data QA / ETL / DWH Testing
• Strong hands-on SQL (complex joins, CTEs, aggregations, validations)
• Experience testing ETL pipelines (ADF, Databricks, Informatica, SSIS, ODI, etc.)
• Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
• Experience validating BI reports (Power BI / Tableau / Cognos)
• Experience with JIRA / ALM / Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of STLC, defect lifecycle, Agile
