Position Summary


 


We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Telecommunication Technician to join our division specializing in the construction and maintenance of towers and telecommunication systems. You will play a key role in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of our infrastructure to ensure optimal connectivity.


 


Key Responsibilities


 



  • Install, configure, and commission telecommunication equipment (antennas, coaxial cables, fiber optic cables, radios, etc.) on towers and related infrastructure.

  • Conduct tests and measurements to verify signal performance and quality (PIM tests, Sweep tests, optical measurements, etc.).

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair failures or performance issues with transmission equipment.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on infrastructure and equipment according to established schedules.

  • Write detailed technical reports on work performed, tests, and equipment inventories.

  • Collaborate closely with civil engineering and electrical teams for the successful execution of projects.


 


Skills and Qualifications


 



  • DEC in Telecommunication or any relevant equivalent training.

  • Significant experience in the installation and maintenance of telecommunication equipment.

  • Excellent knowledge of industry safety standards and procedures.

  • Proficiency with telecommunication-specific test and measurement equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret plans and technical schematics.

  • Autonomy, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Valid driver's license (essential) and availability for frequent travel (regional or out-of-province).
