As an Operations Associate, you will be responsible for reviewing account openings, conducting due diligence checks, and providing advice to various business functions. Your main objective will be to ensure compliance with internal policies and AML/KYC requirements, while also identifying opportunities for onboarding process improvement to mitigate compliance risks.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliations of custodial, trading, and fiat balances, ensuring full compliance with MAS safeguarding and client-money segregation requirements
- Lead MAS regulatory reporting, owning the preparation and on-time submission of monthly (PSN04/PSN07), semi-annual, and annual filings
- Balance safeguarding, settlement, and operating accounts daily, maintaining strict segregation between client and company funds
- Maintain and periodically update the fiat operations playbook, covering procedures for deposits, withdrawals, reconciliations, and internal escalations
- Assist with onboarding and maintenance of banking partners, including due-diligence reviews, account opening documentation, KYC refreshes, and relationship management across multi-currency accounts
- Oversee vendor onboarding and payment setup, ensuring all counterparties meet internal compliance standards prior to engagement
- Support internal and external audits, providing reconciliations, control evidence, and management responses
- Manage general office administration, including procurement and inventory of office supplies, vendor coordination, and expense tracking
- Coordinate IT setup and employee onboarding, ensuring laptops, accounts, and workspace arrangements are ready for new hires to enable a seamless start
- 2-4 years of investment banking, asset management or operations experience at regulated financial business
- Ideally have substantive exposure and interest in blockchain / Fintech industry
- Ideally accounting, finance or business university degree
