Job Summary
Develop and manage relationships with International Corporates in countries assigned to each manager.
Marketing financing solutions (credit facilities, treasury products, and others) to foreign companies
Book building & distribution capabilities
Lead profitable business growth per strategy, plan & assigned budgets.
Grow client list and identify new opportunities in target markets.
Work with CB key business units & Alliance banks.
Assist the Head of International Banking in achieving IBD and the Bank’s goals in general.
Proficient in Compliance matters (KYC/AML/Sanctions)
Key Accountabilities
BUSINESS RISK
- Lead, manage business growth and achievement of the division's assigned targets, within acceptable risk appetite framework and by analysing, verifying and evaluating target returns/RAROC.
- Grow client list and identify new opportunities in target markets in view of risks like political, country, market, operational and also be adept in AML/CFT/Sanctions matter covering each client/country.
- Support the bank's overall growth and professional reputation by promoting the bank among regional and international banks.
- Ensure high service quality standards, and efficient, competitive pricing of products and services. Create and maintain trusting long-term relationships with clients.
- Regular monitoring of market and competitive trends, strategies and key performance indicators to meet individual and departmental budgets on assets, deposits, interest and fee income.
- Promote CB services to banks and promoting cross sell opportunities to customers.
- Participate in regular, structured client meetings and ensure all key clients are personally met at least once a year with higher frequencies for the top tier clients. A call report should be circulated on all calls/visits.
- Maintain work discipline, and supportive interpersonal relationships with peers and superiors.
- Build good product knowledge of all major CB products.
- Liaise with products and service specialists in order to best serve client needs.
- Suggest introduction of new or amend existing products to suit market trends & customer needs.
- Suggest process improvements in CB banking system and procedures to efficiently meet client's account management and operational needs.
- Co-ordinate with and assist CBQ Alliance banks and overseas branches/subsidiaries, in the development of strategy and business growth opportunities in the international markets.
- Perform additional duties and adhoc project-related requests that are assigned and requested from time to time.
- Monitor Customer limits for assigned portfolio, ensure limits compliance, and recommend actions in case of risk deterioration.
- Prepare annual review of the customer to assess the credit quality of the customer from initiation till date.
- Maximise client relationship profitability and ensure good asset quality
- Maintain full awareness of all relevant policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory, Compliance and legal guidelines.
- Ensure that Facility documentation is completed to required standards, all security, covenants and conditions are complied. Consult with internal or external legal counsel on large and complex facility documents.
- Develop familiarity and basic skills in core documentation structures and principles.
- Maintain high Compliance standards for assigned portfolio- AML/CFT/Sanctions, KYC requirements. Perform on-going customer due diligence on the customer as well as the portfolio.
- Ensure timely responses and actions on internal and QCB audit & inspection reports.

- Proficient externally in QCB Country Policy and FATF/QCB Compliance policy specifically related to FIs/Country and eventually be an expert internally in CB Policy/Delegation of Authority/SOPs.

Required Qualifications:
University Degree (Preferable in Business: Finance/Marketing). Post graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, Science preferred
Required Experience
5-7 years banking experience in dealing with International Corporates - preferably with an International Bank or in the GCC region
Strong English communication & presentation skills
Strong Credit and Analytical Skills related to Banks and Country
Experience in syndicated / structured transactions & Fund raising
Experience in Trade Finance products & Risk participations
