Role Purpose
Bridge data and design by owning behavioural analytics and UX insights. This role “lives” in Mixpanel / equivalent to this tool and session tools (Hotjar/Clarity), turning user and merchant behaviour into concrete UX hypotheses, A/B tests, and prioritised recommendations that reduce friction, boost activation, and grow TPV across all Thawani products.
Key Responsibilities
Behavioural Analytics Ownership
- Own the configuration and usage of Mixpanel (or equivalent):
- Event taxonomy and naming
- Funnels across key journeys (onboarding, KYC, funding, payments, remittance, Sama, Athar, merchant flows)
- Cohorts, retention charts, and usage patterns.
- Own session analytics tools (Hotjar / Clarity):
- Heatmaps, scroll maps, and session recordings
- Journey visualisation to detect friction, confusion, or bugs.
Insights, Hypotheses & Experimentation
- Identify UX and product friction points and opportunities across:
- Thawani Pay app (consumer side)
- Mojab card & Mojab Go usage
- Merchant solutions (Tajer, Merchant Portal, Payment Gateway, Payment Link).
- Turn findings into clear UX hypotheses and problem statements, with quantified impact potential.
- Partner with UI & UX Manager and Product to design and run A/B or multivariate tests; track test metrics and draw statistically sound conclusions.
Reporting & Communication
- Produce regular “UX & Behaviour Insights” reports summarising:
- Key trends, issues, and quick wins
- Experiments results and learnings
- Recommendations for backlog priorities.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Growth & Product Data Analyst to ensure UX findings are reflected in broader KPI and board-level narratives.
Qualifications & Experience
- 6–10+ years in Product Analytics, UX Research, or Growth roles, preferably in FinTech, payments, or consumer apps.
- Hands-on experience with Mixpanel (or similar product analytics), Hotjar / Clarity, GA4/Firebase, and experimentation tools.
- Strong analytical skills; SQL and comfort with querying the data warehouse are a plus.
- Proven ability to turn behavioural data into UX and product changes with measurable impact.
- Excellent communication skills; able to translate complex behavioural patterns into simple stories and priorities for designers, product managers, and leadership.
