Application Engineer – Demonstration (Radiology & Imaging Systems)

Manager / Senior Manager – Demonstration & Applications
Job Purpose:
To conduct product demonstrations, application training, and technical support for Radiology & Imaging systems including X-Ray, C-Arm, Digital Radiography (DR), and CT systems, ensuring effective product positioning, customer satisfaction, and clinical efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Demonstration & Application Training
- Conduct live demonstrations and application training for X-Ray, C-Arm, DR, and CT systems at hospitals, clinics, and medical institutions.
- Train medical professionals, radiologists, and technicians on product usage, image optimization, radiation safety, and maintenance protocols.
- Develop and deliver presentations showcasing product features, advantages, and clinical applications.
- Support marketing and sales teams during product demonstrations, exhibitions, and customer interactions.
2. Clinical & Technical Support
- Assist installation and commissioning teams to ensure smooth handover of systems for demonstration and application.
- Provide clinical and operational support during product evaluations, site acceptance tests (SAT), and user feedback sessions.
- Troubleshoot basic operational and image-quality issues in coordination with service engineers.
- Gather user feedback and communicate application-related insights to R&D and product management teams for continuous improvement.
3. Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain detailed records of demonstrations, training sessions, and user feedback.
- Ensure compliance with AERB radiation safety guidelines and company SOPs during demonstrations and clinical trials.
- Prepare and update application manuals, user training materials, and demonstration reports.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Sales, Service, R&D, and Quality teams to provide product insights, feature validation, and clinical acceptance inputs.
- Support marketing and regulatory documentation through clinical case studies and real-world application data.
- Participate in internal product validation and user experience testing prior to market release.
5. Customer Relationship Management
- Act as a technical liaison between customers and the organization for application-related matters.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt, professional, and knowledgeable interaction.
- Provide after-demonstration follow-up to ensure product usability and continued confidence among end-users.
Qualifications and Experience:
- B.E. / B.Tech (Electronics or Biomedical Engineering)
- or Diploma / Degree in Radiology / Medical Imaging Technology.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product application, clinical demonstration, or technical training for radiology and imaging systems (X-Ray, C-Arm, DR, CT).
- Experience in hospital-based imaging environments or medical device manufacturing (preferred).
- Strong understanding of radiographic imaging principles, exposure parameters, and safety practices.
Skills and Competencies:
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of radiology imaging workflows and device operations.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
- Confident communicator capable of engaging with clinicians and hospital administrators.
- Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel across India or globally for demonstrations and training programs.
