Lead Developer - Fullstack & Data Platforms

Our Engineering hubs are in Espoo (Finland), Lahti (Finland), and Poland, and you would be part of a highly talented and international team of over 55 engineering colleagues.
Our solution is built on Microsoft Azure, the technologies we currently use to build our service include .Net/React as main programming languages, Domain-Driven architecture and API First design principles, Azure Compute, Messaging and Data Services, different database types using SQL and noSQL databases. Our data ecosystem includes Spark, Azure Synapse, ClickHouse, Azure Fabric/OneLake, and dbt.
We are also rapidly scaling our use of AI across our entire product and engineering organization. Our new Lead Developer - Fullstack & Data Platforms should have hands-on experience working with AI technologies and a strong interest to leverage AI to elevate our engineering work, improve developer efficiency, and drive next-generation product capabilities.
As a Lead Developer - Fullstack & Data Platforms, you will be a technical leader guiding our development teams and shaping the technological direction of our cloud-based platform. You’ll ensure our solutions are high-quality, scalable, and maintainable, while applying both software engineering and modern data architecture best practices. The role spans full-stack development and large-scale data processing, and you’ll understand when business needs are best addressed through .NET services, event-driven architectures, or data-platform technologies such as Spark, Synapse, ClickHouse, Fabric/OneLake, or dbt.
You will drive architectural decision-making, design and review complex systems, and guide the modernization of our platform using Domain-Driven Design and API-first principles. You’ll help determine where data transformations belong—whether in services or pipelines—and ensure that our data solutions are reliable, observable, and cost-efficient. You’ll also play a key role in improving our CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, and release processes to support predictable, high-quality deployments.
As a hands-on technical mentor, you’ll support developers across full-stack engineering, cloud architecture, and data processing, fostering a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement. You’ll troubleshoot complex distributed systems and data pipelines, lead discussions on best practices, and evaluate emerging technologies that can strengthen our platform. This role offers the chance to grow as a technical leader within a modern global SaaS product, working with supportive colleagues in an agile and collaborative environment.

Furthermore, the following skills and experience are needed to succeed
- Proven experience in full-stack software development, with a strong emphasis on backend and data platform development.
- Track record of leading teams or projects, demonstrating strong leadership and collaboration skills.
- Deep expertise in software architecture, system design, and cloud-native, microservices-based solutions.
- Azure experience: hands-on proficiency with Azure Cloud and its native services (e.g., Container Apps, EventHub, ServiceBus, OpenAI).
- Understanding of modern distributed data processing including Spark, Synapse, ClickHouse, dbt, and lakehouse architectures.
- Experience with microservices, event-driven systems, and cloud-native design principles.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, particularly Azure SQL, Managed Instance, and CosmosDB.
- Solid knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and multi-product design skills
- Ability to make informed technical decisions, balancing long-term strategic goals with immediate project needs.
- User-oriented mindset and ability to quickly build a deep understanding of product components and the overall product ecosystem.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, enabling effective cooperation across all levels of the organization.
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
