About The Team

The Platform Product team at Datavant is responsible for partnering with the Core Technology teams to build the technical foundations that accelerate our business. We obsess about creating leverage for our business operations and product development process; and achieve this by having a unique combination of: technical expertise, domain experience, and product-oriented thinking.

About The Role

We’re hiring a Product Manager to lead the modernization and unification of our back-office finance systems, with a strong emphasis on integrating Salesforce with downstream financial systems and workflows. You’ll partner closely with Enterprise Engineering, IT , Finance, Legal, and Support to standardize processes, improve data integrity, and deliver reliable, auditable workflows across Lead-to-Cash, Order-to-Cash, and Finance Operations.

Your focus: turn strategy into a clear backlog, ship pragmatic solutions, and raise the bar on governance, controls, reliability, and adoption across the financial lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the Finance Systems backlog: rationalize orgs/sandboxes, converge data models and picklists related to quoting, pricing, billing, finance approvals, and revenue-impacting fields.
  • Establish governance for intake, prioritization, release management, and documentation; enforce naming conventions, data stewardship, financial field definitions, and compliance-aligned change controls.
  • Design for auditability: implement role-based access, segregation of duties, approval chains, change/release controls, logging, and evidence collection aligned to IT general controls and financial reporting requirements.
  • Bridge contract lifecycle and financial workflows: ensure CLM templates/clauses, contract metadata, and approvals map cleanly into Salesforce and support downstream quoting, billing, revenue recognition, and financial obligations.
  • Ship features with clear PRDs and success metrics: write acceptance criteria, manage UAT, coordinate cutovers, and measure adoption, data completeness, forecast hygiene, cycle times, and exception rates.
  • Integrate systems in the back-office financial stack: partner on interfaces to ERP, billing, data warehouse, and identity; define non-functional requirements (security, privacy, availability, audit trail).
  • Partner with Finance and Accounting: understand monthly/quarterly close processes, revenue recognition needs, invoicing/billing models, and the impact of upstream data quality.
  • Enable and communicate: run release notes, training, and stakeholder updates; surface risks early and remove blockers.
  • Leverage external partners when needed, manage SOWs, and hold vendors to outcomes.

About You

  • Experience: 2–4 years in product management or program management for business systems or enterprise SaaS—ideally at a rapidly growing, multi‑line business organization.
  • Strong preference for candidates with a background in Finance Systems Product Management or Salesforce + ERP integration (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.). Experience with Sales Cloud, CPQ/Revenue Cloud, billing, or financial modules is a plus.
  • Process & controls savvy: strong working knowledge of Lead‑to‑Cash, Order‑to‑Cash, and how CRM and ERP design impacts financial reporting controls, revenue integrity, and ITGC.
  • Financial operations awareness: you understand how quoting, billing, revenue recognition, and contract terms flow across CRM, CLM, billing, and ERP systems.
  • Systems thinker: you map processes/data flows, identify leverage points, and reason about upstream/downstream impacts.
  • Organized operator: you run tight backlogs and timelines; stakeholders trust you to land the release.
  • Analytical: comfortable with spreadsheets/SQL to size impact, define KPIs, and validate financial and operational outcomes.
  • Clear communicator & writer: your PRDs, process diagrams, and release notes reduce ambiguity and drive alignment.
  • Bias to action: you take ownership, sweat details, and do what’s needed to ship.
