Learning and Development Coordinator

Cairn has a unique opportunity for a passionate Learning & Development Coordinator to join the People Team. The role will involve working collaboratively across the wider People team and broader Cairn functions to coordinate and support learning & development activity, strategic people initiatives and employee communications.


Core Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end logistics for all learning events including class setup in the LMS, attendance tracking, scheduling enrolments, securing room bookings, end-to-end logistical arrangements, pre/post event communications.
  • Coordinate and publish key messages on our centralised employee comms platform and update calendar to ensure campaigns aligned to business and engagement survey rhythm.
  • Support and liaise with external vendors to enable seamless learner/vendor experience and act as point of contact for all internal/external training events and programmes with the opportunity to become Lead for our Graduate & Intern Programmes
  • Track, evaluate and report on L&D activity as required for industry certification, manager/team metrics and individual employee file updates.
  • Support with the continued implementation of our Learning Management System and evolution of our digitisation strategy.
  • Facilitate access to learning opportunities across various providers/topics and ensure timely processing of training requests & further education applications.
  • Participate in and assist with People team projects and ad-hoc tasks as required.


Key Skills/Competencies

  • A passion for a career in Learning & Development with 1 - 3 years of professional experience in supporting Learning, Business Operations or Program Management in a fast-paced and diverse working environment.
  • Proficient in Office Applications (e.g, Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Survey Tools) with content design tools an advantage (e.g. Articulate Rise, Storyline).
  • Technical & analytical skills to navigate learning technology solutions and source/manipulate data to produce reports and insights.
  • Strong organisation and project management skills, comfortable working with competing deadlines and high volume of events across multiple programmes.
  • Clear and effective communicator in both written and oral formats with attention to detail.
  • Ability to connect, engage and collaborate effectively with your team, business stakeholders and external vendors.
  • A love for teamwork and collaboration with a diverse team, balanced with an ability to be self-directed when required.
