To ensure that we have the right structures in place to support the achievement of our goals we are currently recruiting for a new and exciting role of Marketing Digital Operations and Insights Lead.
We are seeking a Marketing Digital Operations & Insights leader to optimise our firm’s digital marketing engine end‑to‑end, driving a digital‑first strategy, operational excellence, and data‑led decision‑making.
This role will own the MarTech stack, analytics and performance levers to elevate brand presence across all channels, deepen client engagement, and improve ROI. Blending strategy with hands‑on delivery, you will turn data into actionable insights, orchestrate integrated campaigns, and embed best‑practice processes that accelerate growth and business development.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Strategy & Transformation
- Set and lead the firm’s digital strategy and roadmap, aligning martech, content, and channel plans with business growth priorities.
- Define the operating model and governance for digital delivery, establishing standards, policies, and KPIs that drive consistency, compliance, and performance.
- Champion digital-first initiatives and oversee digital transformation projects across marketing activities.
- Partner with practice, sector, and relevant business stakeholders to translate growth goals into audience-led, insight-driven digital initiatives and campaigns
- Ensure seamless integration of digital and offline marketing for a cohesive go-to-market approach.
MarTech Ownership and Operations
- Manage and optimise the firm’s marketing technology stack (CRM, CMS, marketing automation, analytics, social, and integrations) to support pipeline generation and client engagement.
- Own platform governance, including user permissions, taxonomy, segmentation, tagging, and data quality standards (and GDPR compliance), ensuring reliable reporting across the funnel.
- Lead vendor relationships, licensing, budgeting, and roadmap planning to maximise value and reduce complexity and risk.
- Implement best-practice processes, SLAs, and documentation across campaign build, QA, approvals, and reporting to improve cycle time and delivery quality.
Website, Content and SEO
- Oversee website management, governance, UX/design, performance, content, and SEO to increase qualified traffic, engagement, and conversion.
- Drive a continuous testing and optimisation programme covering navigation, templates, forms, CTAs, and page performance.
- Ensure on-brand, accessible, and compliant content experiences across web pages, blogs, thought leadership, and landing pages.
Campaigns, Social, and Channel Enablement
- Plan and execute integrated, multi-channel campaigns across email, social, paid media, and website with clear briefs, segmentation, journey design, and measurement frameworks.
- Support paid and organic social, email, and events with audience insights, content frameworks, targeting, and reporting.
- Manage social media strategy and scheduling to maximise engagement and leverage firm content.
- Create playbooks, templates, and reusable components to scale best practice across practices and sectors.
Data, Analytics and Insights
- Define KPIs and dashboards across awareness, engagement, pipeline, and client retention, with clear targets and attribution logic.
- Build executive dashboards and self-serve reporting that provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders and the Markets team.
- Lead experimentation and A/B testing; translate findings into optimisation backlogs and quarterly plans.
- Own data integrity, enrichment, and integration across systems to enable end-to-end visibility from campaign to matter.
Compliance, Risk, and Governance
- Ensure compliance with data protection, privacy, and marketing regulations (e.g., consent management, cookie governance, data retention).
- Maintain documentation, audit trails, and alignment with firm-wide information security and risk policies.
- Establish quality controls across tagging, accessibility, and brand standards.
Stakeholder Leadership and Change
- Coach markets team colleagues to adopt digital-first practices, develop capability, and embed a test-and-learn culture.
- Run forums and training to upskill teams on tools, processes, and analytics, ensuring consistent adoption across the firm.
- Communicate progress, performance, and priorities through regular updates, roadmaps, and stakeholder reviews.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7-10 years’ experience in digital marketing operations, analytics or MarTech leadership
- Professional services or legal sector experience preferred
Skills and Competencies
- Proven track record leading digital marketing operations and analytics in a professional services or B2B environment
- Expertise across CRM, CMS, marketing automation, analytics, and related integrations; hands-on familiarity with common enterprise platforms
- Strong command of SEO, UX fundamentals, conversion optimisation, and multi-channel campaign design
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear narratives, recommendations, and prioritised backlogs
- Process-oriented mindset with experience streamlining workflows, establishing governance, and scaling best practice
- Influential communicator who can engage senior stakeholders, manage vendors, and coach teams through change
- Comfort operating at both strategic and hands-on levels in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, combining both a digital marketing and technology skillset
