Senior Project Manager

For our client, Saab Air Traffic Management Nederland B.V. (ATM), in Apeldoorn, we are looking for a senior project manager.

Contribute to safe and efficient airspace worldwide

At Saab ATM we work on advanced air traffic management systems that enhance the safety of airports around the world. As a Project Manager you are responsible for executing international high‑tech projects—from the first customer contact to successful delivery. Together with your team you ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.

What will you do?

• Lead international projects from kick‑off to delivery.
• Prepare and monitor project plans, budgets, resources and deadlines.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams of systems engineers, test & integration engineers and installation managers.
• Collaborate with customers, suppliers and subcontractors worldwide.
• Manage risks and opportunities and identify commercial expansion possibilities.
• Ensure that projects comply with quality and safety standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 27001).

Your work environment

You will work in an international, technically challenging environment where safety, innovation, and collaboration are central. On average you will travel 20% of your time to customers or other Saab locations worldwide. You will work with various cultures, disciplines and time zones, no project is the same.

What do you bring?

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, for example in Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Business Administration.
• 10+ years project management experience in complex projects.
• Experience with stakeholder management in complex and international environments.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies (IPMA, PMI‑PMP, or PRINCE2).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Experience with MS Office and MS Project; experience with Jira is a plus.
