You responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal and regulatory guidance on complex issues related to crypto financial services, ensuring compliance with applicable banking and securities regulations as well as risk mitigation
  • Deliver comprehensive legal support across the full lifecycle of products and services, such as custody, staking, trading, and lending, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-value contracts
  • Analyze and interpret intricate legal and regulatory frameworks surrounding blockchain technology and crypto assets, offering strategic advice to shape product development and business initiatives
  • Advise on and support the international expansion and optimization of the Bitcoin Suisse group’s corporate structure, ensuring adherence to global regulatory standards
  • Mentor team members within the Legal function, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing across departments to drive organizational alignment

What you bring along

  • Master’s degree in law from a Swiss University
  • Admission to the bar, postgraduate studies (LL.M) or doctorate is desirable
  • Several years of experience as a legal counsel in a FINMA supervised company, a law firm, a crypto startup - and/or a big four company
  • Solid and profound experience in Swiss financial market regulations as well as private and corporate law, “crypto law” experience is a plus
  • Able to work under pressure, independently and in a dynamic environment
  • Entrepreneurial, adaptive, critical and outside the box thinking and appreciation of an open feedback-culture
  • Proactively facing the challenges of the distributed-ledger and blockchain technology and eager to find consistent legal and regulatory solutions
  • Able to set priorities in a constantly changing business environment and working within a defined timeline
  • Fluent in German and English, any other language is a plus
