Join our client as an Backend Software Engineer and play a pivotal role in designing and delivering innovative, large-scale IoT systems for government projects. You will be responsible for building secure, scalable backend services, integrating sensors and edge devices, and supporting end-to-end IoT deployments from device to cloud.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain cloud-hosted backend services and APIs using Node.js.
Configure and manage IoT communication protocols such as MQTT and TCP to ensure reliable device connectivity.
Build and support solutions leveraging AWS Greengrass, Azure IoT Hub, or similar IoT platforms.
Deploy, configure, and manage IoT devices, sensors, and gateways in both field and production environments.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize backend systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate closely with frontend, cloud, and data engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration and robust data pipelines.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Proficiency in backend development (Python/Node.js) preferred.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in IoT backend or system development.
Practical experience working with sensors, microcontrollers, and networking/communication protocols.
Strong understanding of embedded programming, device-level debugging, and hardware–software integration.
