We have an urgent requirement for Senior Project Manager – IT Governance & GRC (Banking) is required for one of our banking clients in Oman

Strong experience in IT Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) – Banking is THE Must

Minimum 7+ years as a Senior Project Manager managing multiple, inter-connected projects end-to-end (scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, governance is MUST

Strong experience in Stakeholder, Regulator & Steering Committee Management is MUST

Strong Banking domain is MUST

The Senior Project Manager – IT Governance is responsible for the successful delivery of IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) projects. The role involves managing multiple inter-related projects across governance domains, coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering projects within agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.

Project Governance & Delivery

  • Define and establish project controls, including processes, procedures, governance frameworks, and reporting mechanisms
  • Plan, execute, and monitor multiple concurrent IT governance projects
  • Ensure all project milestones and deliverables are achieved as per agreed timelines
  • Formulate, organize, and manage inter-connected projects under a unified governance framework
  • Ensure alignment of deliverables across all projects

Planning, Budget & Risk Management

  • Develop and control project plans, timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Manage project budgets and ensure cost control
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle
  • Implement corrective actions when deviations occur

Stakeholder & Committee Management

  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and regulators
  • Ensure effective functioning of:
  • Project Steering Committees
  • Project Working Committees
  • Provide regular project status updates, dashboards, and reports to management
  • Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate cross-project activities and dependencies
  • Work closely with project teams to facilitate planning, execution, and risk management
  • Ensure compliance with PMO governance standards and user requirements (explicit and implicit)

Governance, Risk & Compliance Focus

  • Lead projects related to:
  • Disaster Recovery (DR)
  • Business Continuity Management (BCM)
  • Data Security
  • Access Governance
  • Infrastructure & Network Standards
  • Liaise with external bodies (Regulators, Auditors, CMA, etc.) to gather requirements and ensure compliance
