The Senior Project Manager – IT Governance is responsible for the successful delivery of IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) projects. The role involves managing multiple inter-related projects across governance domains, coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering projects within agreed scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
Project Governance & Delivery
- Define and establish project controls, including processes, procedures, governance frameworks, and reporting mechanisms
- Plan, execute, and monitor multiple concurrent IT governance projects
- Ensure all project milestones and deliverables are achieved as per agreed timelines
- Formulate, organize, and manage inter-connected projects under a unified governance framework
- Ensure alignment of deliverables across all projects
- Develop and control project plans, timelines, budgets, and resources
- Manage project budgets and ensure cost control
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Implement corrective actions when deviations occur
- Manage internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and regulators
- Ensure effective functioning of:
- Project Steering Committees
- Project Working Committees
- Provide regular project status updates, dashboards, and reports to management
- Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution
- Coordinate cross-project activities and dependencies
- Work closely with project teams to facilitate planning, execution, and risk management
- Ensure compliance with PMO governance standards and user requirements (explicit and implicit)
- Lead projects related to:
- Disaster Recovery (DR)
- Business Continuity Management (BCM)
- Data Security
- Access Governance
- Infrastructure & Network Standards
- Liaise with external bodies (Regulators, Auditors, CMA, etc.) to gather requirements and ensure compliance
