We’re looking for an experienced Senior Game Designer to join our team. Your main responsibility will be to own gameplay features end-to-end: from concept and prototyping to implementation-ready specs, iteration, and polish. You will work closely with engineering, art, and production to ensure our gameplay systems are cohesive, scalable, and fun.
Requirements
- 3+ years of game design experience (PC titles preferred)
- Strong understanding of gameplay systems, level design fundamentals, and player psychology
- Proven ability to design, test, and balance progression, retention, economy, and pacing
- Excellent documentation skills: GDDs, feature specs, flowcharts, state diagrams, UX flows, wireframes
- Solid knowledge of Unity (working with prefabs, scenes, scripting workflows, iteration loops)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills (cross-discipline)
Nice to Have
- Experience with open-world / sandbox / simulation games
- Familiarity with UX/UI design and usability testing
- Knowledge of telemetry, player funnels, and data-driven iteration
- Experience with systemic AI / NPC behaviors, traffic/pedestrian systems, or living-world design
- Shipped at least one commercial PC game in a design role
What You’ll Do
- Own the design and delivery of core gameplay systems (feature planning → prototyping → tuning → polish)
- Design and prototype interactive loops (player actions, tools, interactions, feedback, rewards)
- Define and balance economy/progression: reward pacing, risk vs reward, sinks/sources, difficulty curves
- Create clear design documentation: flowcharts, UI flows, gameplay specs, edge cases, acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with engineering and art to ensure features are implementable, performant, and consistent
- Run playtests, analyze feedback and telemetry, and iterate quickly
- Maintain design quality across the project: consistency, usability, readability, player onboarding
Domain / Project Fit
- Experience designing systemic sandbox gameplay (economy loops, risk/reward, emergent gameplay)
- Designing interactions for vehicles + pedestrians + police/authority systems (chase, heat, escalation)
- Building repeatable progression loops: safehouse upgrades, tools, reputation/heat, new districts, jobs/contracts
- Comfortable designing hands-on interactions (inspection, counting, packaging, inventory handling, tools)
