We are seeking a driven Sustainability Trainee for our Strategy & Sustainability function.
Strategy & Sustainability drives Kemira’s long-term direction and sustainability transformation. The function builds strategy around clean water, renewable and circular solutions, and customer-centric growth. Through data-driven decisions and science-based targets, it advances sustainable value creation and positions Kemira as a leader in specialty chemicals by 2030. Tasks of the sustainability team involve working with the sustainability strategy, product environmental data, corporate climate change program and developing the due diligence process in Kemira.
This position is based in Helsinki, Finland.
In This Role You Will Be Responsible For
- Supporting Kemira’s Sustainability team in deep-dive desktop studies on prioritized topics such as environmental or social sustainability
- Contributing to the teams weekly activities
What You’ll Bring To The Team
- Solid project management skills and the ability to lead yourself
- A structured approach to managing small projects or desktop studies on chosen topics
- A collaborative and supportive spirit, bringing fresh ideas to help the organization improve and benefit from sustainability
- A development-oriented mindset and ownership of dedicated tasks
- A suitable background and education with studies in sustainability-related topics (bachelor’s or master’s pending)
- Excellent oral and written skills in English
- Flexibility to organize your work between office and remote, in a hybrid work culture
