Created 11 years ago, NEXUS Automotive International (NAI) is the global leading intermediary company between manufacturers (>100), leading distributors of the independent automotive aftermarket worldwide (>500), and workshops (>5000) in the automotive aftermarket. NEXUS Automotive International is managing consolidated sales above 50 billion €.

The Project

In this new greenfield project, you lay the foundation for NEXUS’ data and reporting capabilities. You collect data from many internal and external sources, combine open-source and commercial datasets, and transform them into clear, useful insights that help the organization make better choices.

Your work helps identify opportunities, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen areas such as inventory management, logistics, and market discoveries. By leveraging the knowledge you build and the solutions you implement, you directly support NEXUS’ network of 550+ members worldwide.

Your Role

Your responsibilities include building the first data models, defining KPIs, setting up dashboards, and creating reliable reporting structures. You prepare data insights, work closely with internal teams to understand their information needs, and translate those needs into measurable, business-relevant metrics.

You collaborate with external data specialists and professional contractors, acting as an intermediary between NEXUS and its data partners to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and ready for insights.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building from scratch, working autonomously, and shaping a data function where business intelligence becomes a core driver of strategy and operational performance. You are part of a small but growing team, wearing multiple hats and helping to define how data supports the organization moving forward.

What You Need for This Role

  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes: extracting, cleaning, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources.
  • Strong ability to work with multiple data sources (internal systems, external datasets, APIs, files) and integrate them into a usable structure.
  • Experience with data modelling and designing structures optimized for reporting and insights.
  • Familiarity with BI and dashboard tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Experience defining KPIs and metrics that supports the business with critical choices.
  • Strong analytical skills: able to interpret data, identify trends, and translate findings into clear insights.
  • Comfortable working in a greenfield environment: building structures, processes, and dashboards from scratch.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Python or R for advanced analysis, automation, or data modelling.
  • Experience with AI/ML tools or AI-assisted analytics in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to speak multiple European languages.
  • Experience working with external data vendors or API-based data integrations.
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Experience in the automotive aftermarket or a similar international ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid work permit for a European country.
  • Currently based in a European country.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • 5+ years of experience in data, BI, or analytics roles.

In order to accommodate hybrid work arrangements, candidates should ideally be based in either Paris (France) or Geneva (Switzerland).
