About The Role
The Director, People Systems & Technology will shape and lead DayOne’s global People Tech strategy — with Workday as the core platform — driving automation, AI adoption, governance, digital self-service, people insights, and scalable global processes.
You will build and lead a high-performing team and partner with HR, TA, IT, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to deliver a world-class, seamless hire-to-retire technology experience. This is a high-impact, enterprise-critical leadership role for someone passionate about modernising HR through automation, insight, and experience design.
What You’ll Do
Lead DayOne’s People Technology Strategy
- Own the global People Tech roadmap aligned with DayOne’s hyper-growth.
- Design a future-ready architecture leveraging AI, automation, predictive analytics, and modern HR tools.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies that improve lifecycle experience for employees, candidates, and managers.
- Establish and maintain system governance across People Technology and Workday.
- Own Workday’s global strategy and roadmap across all core modules.
- Lead governance, release management, configuration standards, and system quality.
- Deploy Workday AI/ML capabilities (Skills Cloud, predictive insights, intelligent workflows).
- Automate and streamline processes across HR, TA, Payroll, and IT.
- Maintain strong data governance, access controls, and privacy compliance.
- Identify and execute automation opportunities that remove manual work and increase speed.
- Build self-service tools, guided journeys, and resources for employees and managers (chatbots, automated forms, knowledge bases).
- Improve issue resolution through intelligent routing and automated case workflows.
- Use predictive analytics to provide insights across hiring, performance, workforce planning, and attrition.
- Hire, lead, and develop Workday specialists, HRIS analysts, and automation experts.
- Foster a culture of innovation, technical depth, and continuous improvement.
- Create scalable support models with SLAs, self-service knowledge, and structured change management.
- Own the global People data strategy and governance framework.
- Develop standardised reporting packages for leaders (headcount, hiring, compensation, org health, workforce trends).
- Build real-time dashboards that create transparency and enable better decision-making.
- Use AI-driven analytics to detect patterns, forecast risks, and highlight opportunities.
- Partner across HR, TA, IT, Finance, Legal, and the business to simplify, digitise, and scale global People processes.
- Re-engineer hire-to-retire workflows to improve clarity, automation, and global consistency.
- Strengthen HR data security, privacy, and access governance.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PDPA, and global HR data privacy regulations.
- Maintain audit readiness and risk controls across the People Technology ecosystem.
- Ensure technology delivers an exceptional employee, manager, and candidate experience.
- 10–15+ years in HR Technology, People Systems, or Workday leadership in global organisations.
- Hands-on Workday expertise (configuration, reporting, integrations, security, governance).
- Experience building self-service, automation, and digital HR solutions at scale.
- Deep understanding of HR data governance and privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PDPA).
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and partner effectively with executives.
- Passion for modernizing HR through automation, insight, and digital experience.
