Head of Cost Estimating

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cost estimating, forecasting, reporting, and control activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost models, benchmarks, and probabilistic cost risk analyses.
• Support funding package submissions, annual budgets, and cost-at-completion forecasts.
• Challenge contractor estimates, change orders, and claims.
• Monitor contractor cost performance using earned value, trend management, and reporting tools.
• Advise project leadership on potential cost risks and recommend corrective and recovery actions.
• Support EPC tender evaluations and pre-award technical assessments.

👤 Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Project Management, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in cost estimating or project controls, including significant experience in the oil & gas or energy sector.
• Strong expertise in cost estimating methodologies, risk analysis, budgeting, and financial governance.
• Experience working with EPC contractors and large capital projects.
• Advanced analytical skills with strong knowledge of cost systems, dashboards, data analytics, and enterprise tools.
