Head of Cost Estimating
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cost estimating, forecasting, reporting, and control activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed cost models, benchmarks, and probabilistic cost risk analyses.
- Support funding package submissions, annual budgets, and cost-at-completion forecasts.
- Challenge contractor estimates, change orders, and claims.
- Monitor contractor cost performance using earned value, trend management, and reporting tools.
- Advise project leadership on potential cost risks and recommend corrective and recovery actions.
- Support EPC tender evaluations and pre-award technical assessments.
👤 Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Project Management, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in cost estimating or project controls, including significant experience in the oil & gas or energy sector.
- Strong expertise in cost estimating methodologies, risk analysis, budgeting, and financial governance.
- Experience working with EPC contractors and large capital projects.
- Advanced analytical skills with strong knowledge of cost systems, dashboards, data analytics, and enterprise tools.
