About The Role
You will be working in a modern, international, and digitalized organisation that is driven by its purpose to safeguard life, property, and the environment.
As master thesis student (m/v/div) you will be part of our department within the Renewables service area, specialized in onshore and offshore wind projects. Your focus will be on the topic of your master thesis, which will be discussed beforehand with our Senior Engineer(s), Analytics & Engineering Netherlands & Germany. A supervisor will be assigned to whom you will also report to.
Your Key Activities Will Be
- Working on your master thesis.
Further, There Are Opportunities To
- Supporting the department in daily business, e.g. site visits, supporting in various steps of energy yield assessments.
- Automation of data analysis related tasks in the field of meteorology and wind farm production.
- Working on service development improvements.
- The position is available in our offices in Oldenburg and Hamburg.
Availability: full time work week, which is 39 hours.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Suitable research topic that supports DNV’s work, or
- Open for any topic that DNV provides
- Good knowledge of programming and data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI).
- Programming skills in Python.
- Fluent English & German.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Attention to details.
- Good technical understanding.
- Is capable of working independently as well as a part of a team.
- Brings a proactive and hands-on approach.
- Is reliable and organized.
