Job Description
- Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyse large datasets, detect patterns and anomalies, and build predictive models that optimise mining operations and equipment performance
- Translate complex, multi-source data into clear trends, insights, and recommendations that drive informed, data-backed business decisions
- Design and develop data models, algorithms, and analytics solutions to address operational and strategic business challenges
- Collaborate with ML Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Platform teams, and mining experts to deliver scalable data solutions and enhance asset efficiency
- Communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and adoption of data-driven actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement by adopting industry best practices in AI, machine learning, and analytics, and supporting a culture of innovation
A Successful Data Analyst Should Have
- A strong background in Data Analysis
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Experience in creating data visualisations and dashboards. (Power BI, Data Factory)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and be autonomous where needed
- Strong communication skills to present insights effectively
