Key Responsibilities:
- Support the integration of data protection across transformation initiatives
- Conduct and advise on Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new systems, processes, and services
- Provide expert guidance on GDPR and data protection compliance during organisational change
- Work collaboratively with programme, digital, IT, and business teams to identify and mitigate privacy risks
- Contribute to the development and improvement of data protection policies, standards, and guidance
- Support data mapping, records of processing activities (RoPA), and risk assessments
- Assist with data subject rights processes and incident management where required
- Help build organisational awareness of data protection through advice, guidance, and training
Essential:
- Proven experience in a data protection, privacy, or information governance role
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection legislation
- Experience supporting change, transformation, or large programmes/projects
- Ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice to non-specialist audiences
- Strong organisational and communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience working on digital, technology, or systems transformation projects
- Knowledge of DPIAs, data mapping, and privacy risk management frameworks
- Relevant qualification (e.g. IAPP, BCS, or equivalent)
- Experience in a complex or regulated organisation
